1. Valid passport - (Copy supplied to Alpha Tours Pty Ltd) Passport must be at least valid of six months from the date you depart Australia. 2. Valid entry visa – (Copy supplied to Alpha Tours Pty Ltd) Australian and other passport holders other than Chinese require visas for entry into China. So please check and ensure that your entry visa is valid for the period you will be traveling. Australian passport holders do not require a tourist visa to enter Taiwan. Please make a photocopy of the main page of your passport (the page with your identification details) and retain it separately in case you have to apply to Australian Embassy or Consulate in China/Taiwan for a replacement passport if you unfortunately lose it there.) No responsibility is taken for lost or damage of Passport by Alpha Tours Pty Ltd. Please be noted that air tickets will be supplied by Alpha Tours Pty Ltd. Our tour itinerary has all the hotel information and emergency contacts in Taiwan for you. Please leave one copy of this document with your relative and friends in case they want to contact you under some unforeseen circumstances while you are in Taiwan. For our tour, you normally don’t need any voucher as the hotels are booked by our tour operator in Taiwan. 6. Travel Insurance (No responsibility is taking by Alpha Tours Pty Ltd for uninsured Clients). We strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance at time of booking to protect your travel investment, as well as to cover unexpected expenses related to accidents or illness that might occur during your trip. If you have obtained your own insurance, please take the Emergency Assistance Card from the Insurance Company with you all the time while traveling overseas in case you need assistance from the Insurance Company when emergency happens. 7. Vaccination and inoculation It is normally not required to enter China/Taiwan. However, it is always suggested to consult your family doctor before departure for advice. Although almost everything is included in our tour, it is suggested that you take some cash of Australian or American dollars and/or traveler’s cheques with you for your personal expenses and tipping, etc. It is also suggested to take a credit card with you as your back up. To keep memory of your unforgettable tour in China/Taiwan, you are suggested to take your camera or video camera with you. Films and batteries can be purchased in China/Taiwan. Casual wear is acceptable at all times although, while the Chinese are increasingly adopting colorful and Western-style fashions, clothes that are too revealing are frowned upon. However some appropriate smarter attire are recommended for some special occasions, such as farewell banquet and so on. Remember to take clothing appropriate to the season – for example, sweater, warm overcoats, hats and boots in winter or at the beginning of spring and end of autumn, and light cotton clothing in summer. For your tour, it will be in the middle of spring in China/Taiwan. So a couple of wind jackets will be good. Comfortable walking shoes are important for sightseeing. In addition, please bring an umbrella or raincoats with you for your trip. Although in most of the international hotels in China/Taiwan, the power points for electrical appliances are quite similar to those in Australia, you are still suggested to take a universal adaptor with you. If you have to take medicine for some reason, please take enough doses for the period you
are traveling, as the same kind of medicine my not be acquired in China/Taiwan. It is
suggested to take some Panadol for headache, Telfast for hay fever, Cold and flu medicines
and Advanced Imodium for Diarrhea with you for you trip to protect yourself from sickness
during your trip.
