Description
The Garvan MTS-166S/5Y Miniature Smoke Alarm is a photoelectric 9V DC smoke alarm with 5 YEARS LONG LIFE BATTERIES. Itis operated by 3 pieces Lithium Button cells (type CR2450), battery life 5 years minimum. It has a extremely small size which is thesmallest photoelectric smoke alarm in the world -- Diameter only 70mm. MTS-166S/5Y has an 85 decibel horn, test button, alarmLED indicator.
With the photoelectric technology, MTS-166S/5Y is more sensitive to detecting slow smouldering fires which general thick, black smoke,little heat and may smoulder for hours before bursting into flames. The MTS-166S/5Y do not contain the radioactive material whichis harmless to the environment.
MTS-166S/5Y is a single station photoelectric alarm and should NOT be connected to other smoke alarms. It should be installed inevery room (except the bathroom), and every other area of the home, making sure the people in the home will be able to hear andrespond to the alarm sound. For minimum protection you should fit an alarm in the hallway between the living areas (incl. Kitchens)and sleeping areas. Place it as near to the living areas as possible and ensure the alarm is audible when the bedrooms are occupied. Operation
Shipping Specifications:
