Greetings Lafayette Club Members,

For those of you that were unable to attend the 2010 Governor’s Reception event, you missed a
fun-filled evening with a very nice buffet and a guest appearance from "Elvis” kept the crowd enter-
tained all evening with music and dancing. Of course, the traditional “Ice Sculpture" event was high-
lighted this year by member Brandon Hufnagel sculpturing an ice block into a martini glass that
provided delicious ice cold vodka and martini drinks. The Board of Directors, Management and
Lafayette Club Staff thank those members that supported this event.
Ladies, I invite you and your guest(s) to join the Ladies of Lafayette for an enjoyable 2nd annual
“Spa Night”, Wednesday evening, February 3rd, 6pm till 10pm at the Club. This was a successful
event last year with many vendors participating. An evening of pampering and special offers for the
ladies! So ladies, don’t delay, call the Club now at 717 848 2896 and reserve your spot for this excit-
ing event and a night of pampering. A $25 donation at the door benefits the Children’s Home of York.
Gentlemen, I would remiss if I did not remind you Valentine’s Day is around the corner. May I
suggest calling the Club today, and make reservations for you and that special someone for
Valentine’s Dinner, Saturday February 13th. Chef John and Chef Andrew are preparing a very nice
dinner with special touches for this romantic occasion.
We are looking forward to the renovations of the York City Market Street Municipal Parking Ga-
rage to be completed this early spring, as this will be convenient for the members when they visit the
Club. On street parking and use of the valet at the Yorktown Hotel are provided at this time, as well
as some evening availability in the Market Street garage. Also, I have been informed that Mayor
Bracey has reinstated the 9am to 5pm enforcement of parking meters, as opposed to the 8am to
6:30 pm time frame. This would allow members and their guests to street park in the morning and
take advantage of the Club’s breakfast.
